Lots of banging up on the roof today, at the rear of the house. Also lots of wood being hauled up the scaffolding.
As you can see, they've been busy building the dormer frame, ready for the flat roof to be installed. Around the back, some massive bits of plywood have been put in. These will also help to waterproof the area prior to the existing roof being removed.
Over in the new kitchen, I had a go at cutting a tile to size. It was a fail. Not a catastrophic failure, I didn't get anything to happen. I tried to score the tile but I had virtually no impact:
Oh well, I'll have to figure out how to cut these damn things! Probably have to buy some more equipment *sigh*
So I went out the back to play football with the second-born. Then I spotted what the roof looks like from the ground and was almost horrified. I have to remember that it will look much better when it's finished!
