Kitchen Assemblage Day 8.5

Do I count the last 2 and a half hours as a day of work? Especially when it's just finishing off the work from the last day? I don't think I should, so I've decided to number this day 8.5. I trust this meets with your approval.

And during this tacked-on bit of temporally non-consecutive time, Tracy and I gave the kitchen floor a good scrub. Which, as you can see, it really needed.

Can you tell where the bucket was?

It'll still need at least one more clean, if not more, but it's now far better than it was.

With the floor grouted and predominantly clean, we moved the table and benches into position. There's a little wobble on one bench from the uneven tiling against the wall (which I was expecting to be worse), but I was pleasantly surprised that the table and other bench were solidly in place. Maybe my tiling wasn't all that bad after all!

Tracy was so excited, she got her new placemats out ready for the morning and moved-in the jug she made too...

As part of The Seemingly Eternal Jigsaw, the table being moved to the kitchen frees up the corner of the living room. This corner is needed to give the builder access to the heating system and so install the kitchen radiator. Though, to be honest, it's just nice to see some space!

Calling it a day now. Goodnight all!
