It's all been a bit piecemeal lately. I'm struggling to group things into a day of work. Friday was just a little prep work on the roof (removing tiles, replacing with water proofing) but today there is more to report...
Plasterer returned today. Him and his apprentice sorted out the ex-door in the kitchen and the new hole in the living room.
An absolutely massive lump of wood was delivered. I assume it's the beam for the apex of the roof but I could be wrong. It took a lot of effort to move it. Even the plasterers helped. Goodness knows how that's going to get on the roof!!!
One thing making it easier to get bricks up to the top of the scaffolding is a funky conveyor thing. Seems to work a treat up at roof level as things have been happening. The side wall of the dormer has started to be built. Some of the roof tiles have also been removed (or just crumbled away when looked at).
So that's the day that was. Hopefully the weather will improve and let some more work get done. I'm sure it's just as frustrating for the builders - they've got a timetable to keep to too.
