Build Day 1

 To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the conservatory was deconstructed very quickly. Seriously - some bits were attached with duct tape, just hidden out of view.

Interestingly though, there seemed to be a previous structure beneath the conservatory floor. This could potentially be the original structure that had caused marks further up the wall. Seeing this, it was suddenly clear why the floor had been sagging - there was no support beneath huge swathes of it!


It was immediately obvious how much excess heat the conservatory was adding once the sun was on it. The house temperature is already far more bearable! Hopefully the reverse will be true when it's winter and the extension is built. Because I really don't want to put the heating on given the current prices!
