Loft Bedroom Decorating, Episode 2

So on Friday night, after school,  the offspring were sad that there was no space for a Christmas tree yet. They were told that once we get their new bedrooms sorted, there will be space.

The firstborn, primarily wanting to avoid doing her homework, agreed to do some painting. I asked her to get into her painting clothes and off she went. I didn't see her again until bedtime!

The secondborn, not wanting to be outdone by her sister, belted it upstairs, got her painting clothes on and reported for duty in her new room.

I had to quickly do some prep work on the wall as it had a few bumps on it:

But once that was done, she got to work:

Alas, with no sister to compete with, she soon got bored. She had done the bottom bit of the wall to where she could reach so she made a good contribution. Luckily, Tracy was free to assist in using up the rest of the watered down emulsion we'd prepared.

And that's how it stayed until Sunday night. This evening I completed the base coat on the firstborn's door. I also gave the door frame a sand, filled in further remaining holes and then gave that a coat of paint too:

And that's it. I called it a day shortly before midnight. I was going to fit the remaining cupboard handles down in the kitchen but I have an early start.

Night all 😊
