Prelude to a Build Day?

The house was unattended for 2 hours this morning. When Tracy returned, she noticed that doors had been left open, there was now a new mystery hole in the old kitchen wall, some dusty footprints heading to the toilet, a soaking wet dirty cloth put on top of the clean dry towels and the firstborn's new door (still not completely painted) had been moved to one side of the room and leaned to one side.

We took this to mean that our builder had arrived to do stuff.

The evidence suggests that he checked out where the new window is going in the old kitchen. The window will be above some plug sockets so it looks like he was checking for cables.

A visit to the toilet may also have occurred.

Not sure what else had changed other than doors being left open. Perhaps some kind of snagging inspection?

Anyway, I took this as a hint that he's ready to sort the windows so I cleared the cooking equipment to the new kitchen, emptied the under-stairs cupboard and put up a dust sheet (by literally screwing it into a beam)

Let's see what tomorrow brings!
