The electrician returned today to link the wires that meander their way around the loft, fly out through the side wall, narrowly miss the windows on their way to the ground floor before returning back into the house, to the fuse box.
He also appears to have sourced some more labels for each of the 'fuses'. Which is good because the new kitchen had been unlabeled.
Anyway, the inevitable news from this gratuitous waffle is that the loft has power. Behold...
The blue things are the dust-covered fire alarms, which are on all three floors and are mains powered. Not that I'm planning on burning the house down after all this time, effort and money has gone into it!
The builders have also been round. I know this because they've attached some stuff to the walls. Radiators, to be exact. Not that anyone can afford to turn them on...
Though in one bedroom the lights weren't working...
Down in the kitchen, though, the space has taken another step towards completion. The colour was a complete guess, chosen before the wall paint or cupboards but I think that the dark grey ends up working quite well. Just as well really!
