Over on YouTube, unboxing videos are very popular. So if I were able to sustain an overly exaggerated level of enthusiasm for the hours it took to unbox all the kitchen items then that might have been a profitable video to make.
That's not me though. Also, I don't have glittery false nails or the time to spend editing in visual effects. So this is all you're getting; sorry.
Whilst the girls were out trick-or-treating (and eating copious amounts of sugar) I slid all the units to roughly where they needed to be, stripped off the packaging and gently massaged them into position. 11 times.
Why do I do this to myself?!
Checked for damage and only found two issues. Some paint defects on a cupboard door...
...and a more severe breakage of one of the oven cabinets:
I haven't colour corrected the pictures tonight so they look way too dark (I forgot to do it before uploading and I'm too tired to sort it out right now). So, here's all the units in their roughly correct places (obviously the wall ones will be fitted higher up and the worktop needs ordering once we know the necessary dimensions as some customisation is going to be required).
I had diligently been leaving space around the edges of the room for when the carpenter arrives to do the door frames, bannisters and skirting boards. However, it's now 10pm. So the kitchen also contains this mountain of packaging:
