Build Day 51

As expected, everyone had left by the time I got home. There was also a load of insulation in front of the second window. So all I have for you today is one photo to scrutinise for progress. Let's begin with the picture and then jump in to the analysis.

Starting in the top left corner we can see a ceiling made out of plasterboard in the large bedroom.

Moving down the left side of the picture we can see insulation along the outer wall with pipes protruding for the radiator. The farthest wall from the camera has some type of fire barrier fitted but no insulation yet.

Toward the centre of the picture you can see the frame of the partition wall between the two bedrooms as well as a load of plasterboard and insulation yet to be installed.

If we continue right we can see something installed on the roof between the skylights. Not sure what this is. I was expecting insulation but it looks more like the fire barrier stuff.

Moving down towards the bottom, you can see the frame of the wall between the second bedroom and the landing has been built.

And that's all I spotted. I'm looking forward to actually being able to walk around this space!

In other news, we've officially decided not to do the porch yet. Not because we don't want to but because all the extra little bits (some optional, some not so much) over the past 3 months have hoovered up the contingency budget, so there's nothing left for any more building unfortunately.

I'll leave you with another barely changed exterior shot, as per the tradition.
