Today has been a woodwork day where the frame of the dormer has been built. I asked the firstborn how she would describe today's building work and she said it's like a shed on the roof (copying how the builder described it earlier).
You can see the places where the windows will be. I think they look a decent size. I was initially tempted to copy the 1st floor windows but I'm happy with it this way.
Elsewhere, the electrician will return to sort out the plug that I use to work from home. Dad dropped off some tools for tiling and the new custom-made kitchen table set has arrived.
It's absolutely beautiful! This is one of Tracy's big must-haves for the kitchen and I wasn't particularly excited but I love it. Also, I don't think the pictures do it justice. It's ridiculously sturdy and I don't think the size comes across. So I've provided some very excited children for scale...
My turn to put in some graft over the weekend, tiling the kitchen. So tonight I guess I'll have to learn how that all works!
Builder doesn't reckon I'll manage it. He's not seen the dry stone wall I built at the old house though.
